College Explainers

Earn money while you learn! The Science Career Ladder program allows college students to have an exciting job interacting with visitors of all ages, talking about science, and doing fun hands-on activities all day. Training is provided onsite. Don’t wait; send in your application now!

College Explainers - These are paid positions for college students to

  • interpret exhibits
  • perform demonstrations
  • orient visitors
  • assist with science workshops and special events

Please note: This is a year-round position, requiring 5 - 20 hours per week (weekends and evenings as needed). Starting salary is $8 per hour with room for promotions and raises. Applications are accepted year-round. Download the Explainer Application.
