In an effort to stay connected and offer services to Science Career Ladder Alumni the Hall has established` a variety of programs and events for former Explainers:

1. Free Alumni Explainer Membership and Discounted Family Memberships. Applications must be filled out yearly with the Membership Department. Please feel free to contact the Membership Department at 718.699.0005, extension 350

2. Alumni Educator Discount Program:

• 30% Discount on student workshops when you bring a class for a field trip

• 10% Discount on Preschool Place activities for preschool programs

• 30% Discount on Outreach Lesson Modeling Programs

• 50% Discount on all of the Hall’s Teacher Training, Rental Programs and Staff Development Conferences

• 30% Discount on all Science Lab Rental Kits

3. Access to Alumni Explainer Website
On this website Alumni can:

• Connect to other Alumni

• See photos of past Explainer events

• Find out about Hall updates and events

• See job postings and advertise to other Alumni and current Explainers

• Find descriptions of all alumni benefits, discount programs, etc.

• See a list of the current Explainer leadership and their backgrounds

• Use a message board to stay connected and discuss ideas and issues

• Play in the Arcade and compete with others for the highest score in some favorite classic video games

• Stay connected with current Explainers

4. Alumni Explainer Social Gatherings and Events: Alumni Explainers, and their families, will be invited to private events and workshops throughout the year including an annual Career Panel where four Alumni are invited to share their experiences with current Science Career Ladder participants.
