Astro-Observatory

Ages 8 and older

For the General Public (September - June)
Fridays, 2 pm - 4:30 pm
Saturdays - Sundays, 12 pm - 4 pm

Summer Hours for the Hands-on Observatory
Paid Reserved Groups: Monday - Friday 9:30 am - 1:30 pm
Free to Public with playground admission: Tues. - Friday 2 pm - 4:30 pm
Saturday and Sunday 12 pm - 5:30 pm

For Groups
Session: 45 minutes (max 32 children)
Hours: Tues. - Friday, 10 am - 1 pm (by reservation only)
Fee: $50 per group (free lab use for trained teachers)

Get your hands-on a variety of telescopes and investigate the Sun and its features. Learn about sunspots, solar prominences and more as you observe the Sun. Each session allows students to experience a number of different types of telescopes and learn about the instrument as well.
