Parent/Child Programs
These interactive workshops offer parents and children an introduction to the New York Hall of Science and its resources and teach techniques for doing easy hands-on science at home. Specific topics can be developed upon request. Popular workshop topics include:

Lifelong Learning Family Workshops These workshops are great experiences where you and your family can investigate science concepts together, engage in science dialogue and spend a couple of hours of quality family time. Recommended for ages 6 and up. The fee includes museum admission and free parking.
Science Makes Art Saturday, May 10, noon - 2:00 p.m. Discover the technique of creating colors using double refraction or birefringent materials. Learn how to make all the colors of the rainbow and how to use this technique to create a work of art.
