Discovery Days are a whole new EXPERIENCE for 2008 - 2009

EXPERIENCE SCIENCE in a new program that allows community and scout groups to explore the wonders of science.  Through hands-on exploration and specialized exhibit and program experiences, participants will gain a greater understanding of how science relates to everyday life.  Each experience begins with an orientation to the New York Hall of Science, where participants learn the best way to approach the Hall’s diverse exhibits.  At the orientation, each participant will receive a visitor’s guide and scavenger hunt information.  Led by a Hall Explainer, participants will explore exhibits that pertain to the day’s science theme, see a specialized show or demonstration, and build a science-related craft or participate in a science activity.  Each experience lasts two and a half hours and includes a lunch reservation in the dining area (you may bring your own food or pre-order from the Hall’s Café).  Groups of 24 or more may book, with a maximum of 30 people per group (after 30, group may be split into two).  Each group may have free exploration after they conclude their EXPERIENCE.
