• Reservations are required for group visits, so call us as soon as possible to ensure your group’s ability to visit.
• Please note: Group hours for the Preschool Place and Pfizer Foundation Biochemistry Discovery Lab vary from the general hours. For more information on Hall hours, please click here.
• Prepayment allows for a more efficient and faster check-in, but is not required. Prepayment for your visit to the Hall is only necessary for Preschool and Education workshops.
• Payments can be made in cash (large bills preferred, please); checks (both school and personal are accepted if received at least two weeks in advance); Visa, MasterCard, American Express; or by Purchase Order or Impress Form. A confirmation letter will be sent upon receipt.
• You are only charged for the number of students who attend, provided there is a minimum of 10 people. Groups with fewer students than pre-paid will be refunded for amounts greater
  than $30.
• Chaperones are free up to a maximum of 1 free chaperone for every 5 paid visitors. (A minimum of 1 chaperone for every 10 students is required.) Extra chaperones are charged the Hall’s group, not adult, rate.
• Chaperones for groups with special needs are admitted free of charge with every paid child or adult.

• Groups must be chaperoned at all times. A minimum of 1 chaperone for every 10 students is required. Failure to obey this rule may result in notification to school administrators and/or group expulsion.
• If the trip has not been pre-paid, please have payment ready upon arrival. Convert all change and small bills to larger amounts prior to arriving if possible.
• Remain on the bus until an Explainer from the Hall boards to give an orientation. At this time, a group leader will register and pay any outstanding balance at Admissions. To expedite check-in, pay for all classes as one payment. The Explainer will then collect lunches and coats from the visitors.
• After a group leaders register, he or she will be given a receipt and directed to join the group again. The group leader should retain the receipt and create smaller groups with assigned chaperones.

• Long Island Expwy (LIE) East: east to Exit 21- 108th St. Turn left on 108th St, right on 52nd Ave. Left on 111th St. Hall entrance at 49th Ave on the right.
• LIE West: west to Exit 22A. Take service road west. Right on Waldron St, right on Saultell Ave, which becomes 111th St. Hall entrance is on the right.
• From Brooklyn: Brooklyn-Queens Expwy to LIE East. Follow LIE East directions, above.
• From Manhattan/Midtown Tunnel: Follow LIE East directions, above.
• From Bronx/Westchester: Whitestone Bridge to Whitestone Expwy to Van Wyck Expwy Exit 12A (LIE East/College Point Blvd.) Right onto College Point Blvd, right onto LIE West service road. Follow LIE West directions, above.
• From Triborough Bridge: Astoria Blvd Exit. Take Astoria Blvd to 108th St. Right on 108th St, left on 50th Ave to 111th St. Enter Hall at 49th Ave.
• From North New Jersey: George Washington Bridge to Triborough Bridge. Follow Triborough Bridge directions, above.

Directions by Car

• From Long Island, Brooklyn and Manhattan/Midtown Tunnel: follow bus directions.
• From Bronx/Westchester: Whitestone Bridge to the Whitestone Expwy. Exit onto Grand Central Pkwy east to Exit 10: LIE/Midtown Tunnel Exit. Right onto Corona Ave, then right onto 111th St. Enter Hall at 49th Ave.
• From Triborough Bridge: Grand Central Pkwy East to Exit 10: LIE/Midtown Tunnel Exit. Right onto Corona Ave, then right onto 111th St. Enter Hall at 49th Ave.

Please Note: Groups using cars on weekends will be charged parking fees.

Directions by Subway

Take 7 to 111th St station. Walk south to the New York Hall of Science, at 48th Ave and 111th St.

• Groups arriving by bus or van always park for free. Groups using several cars on weekends will be charged regular parking fees.
