Paid Communications Intern The Hall's Office of Communications is currently searching for a communications intern to assist with public relations efforts during Spring 2009:
Responsibilities:
-
Tracking and managing press clips
-
Writing and researching various assignments
-
Submitting events listings to online and print calendar editors
-
Participating in the planning and execution of media events
-
Preparing press kits and press materials
-
Other special projects as needed
Qualifications:
-
Enrolled in an accredited college or university
-
Computer experience in Microsoft Office, specifically Excel
-
Enthusiastic and eager to learn; professional and flexible
-
Excellent oral, written communications and research skills
-
Independent, self-starter interested in gaining communications experience
-
English, Communications, Journalism or Pubic Relations majors preferred Schedule:
-
7-10 hours/week
-
Flexible hours/days within Monday - Friday, 10 am - 5 pm

Length of internship is flexible

Paid Internship: Graphic Design/Production Assistant
Responsibilities:
Produce institutional signage, print and exhibit graphics in compliance with design standards under the direction of the Art Director and Senior Designer. Mount and print out in-house graphic materials.
Qualifications:
Excellent skills in design and typography. Proficient in InDesign, Illustrator and Photoshop. Illustration skills a plus.
Compensation:
Two days per week, $9. per hour

Visitor Services Assistant Seeking an energetic individual to work as an Admissions Assistant.
Responsibilities:

Performing opening and closing duties
-
Handling cash transactions and tech service at admissions
-
Performing regular admissions ticketing and/or membership sales transactions

Greeting and welcoming visitors, provide information about the Hall, its offerings, and assist in resolving visitor concerns
Requirements:
-
Must be available to work weekends.
-
Experience working at a visitor destination, especially in serving visitors a plus.

Superior communications and customer services skills
-
Word processing skills
-
Cash handling experience
-
College degree or equivalent experience
