10-16-09

Queens, N.Y. — New York City’s hands-on science center today announced a contest inviting Flash game developers worldwide to submit creative, highly enjoyable and family-friendly Flash-based interactives for a chance to be featured on the New York Hall of Science’s new web site. NYSCI’s Interactive Design Contest provides a unique opportunity for programmers to have their work viewed by a diverse audience of families, educators, scientists and artists on a web site that attracts more than 40,000 visitors a month.

From now until to December 20, 2009, game developers can submit original games about science and NYSCI exhibitions to be judged by panel of NYSCI staff. The contest winner will also receive a Family Plus Membership (worth $110), which the winner may keep or give to the recipient of their choice. Participants are encouraged to explore www.nysci.org for ideas and inspiration. For more details, please see the contest rules at www.nysci.org/contest.
