Forecast: Brainstorm! A Brainy Celebration at the New York Hall of Science

Queens, N.Y. – A brainstorm is headed for the New York Hall of Science with the forecast calling for a 100% chance of fun and learning during the Hall’s Brain Awareness Celebration, 12:30 – 4:30 pm on March 17 and 18. Celebrate Brain Awareness Week by making a brain hat, taking a memory challenge, solving brainteasers and more. Kids and adults can explore what brains do and how they work with fun, hands-on activities that demonstrate, among other things, what areas of the brain control movement, senses and memories.

We have two Brains? Which brain do you use the most, your right or left-brain? Take this fun interactive quiz to find out why you are a math whiz or a budding artist.
Sheep’s Brain Dissection Watch a sheep’s brain dissection. How does it compare to a human brain? Learn more about the parts of the brain and the functions they control.
