The New York Hall of Science Receives High Honors in New York and National Surveys

Queens, N.Y. – Recent awards by Parents magazine and Nickelodeon’s ParentsConnect have recognized the high quality of exhibits and programs at the New York Hall of Science.

Parents magazine ranked the Hall as one of the 10 Best Science Centers for Families in their national report. More than 150 science centers throughout the country were surveyed about their exhibits, programs and visitor amenities for the report, which will be detailed in an article in Parents’ September issue.

Locally, parents from the New York metro area voted for the Hall in a Nickelodeon contest. The Hall won the “Best Museum for Big Kids” category in Nickelodeon’s ParentsConnect Parent’s Picks Awards, which identified the best family-oriented places and resources in 52 major U.S. cities.

With more than 400 hands-on permanent exhibits, including an area designed specifically for preschoolers, the Hall has something to interest all age groups. In addition, the Hall regularly offers shows, workshops and special events.
