India Museum Professionals Teach Hall Staff New Science Demo

Queens, N.Y. - From August 15 - 21, the New York Hall of Science welcomed executives from five different science centers in India, kicking off a new program for cultural exchange between science museums. During this first phase, the visiting participants were immersed in the culture of a New York City science museum learning live science demonstrations, discussing recruitment strategies, and experiencing the day-to-day operations of the Hall. In September, staff from the Hall will travel to Kolkuta, India to learn about science museums and technology there.

Bharat Bhusan Srivastava of National Science Center in New Delhi and Ravi Baldeo of the New York Hall of Science assist with the special demonstration, which was the culminating event in the first week of new international cultural exchange program between science centers.
