Marilyn Hoyt
President & CEO
Marilyn Hoyt is President and CEO at the New York Hall of Science.
Past positions include consulting with a wide variety of nonprofits for J.C.Geever, Inc., and 12 years as a grant maker for the Westchester Arts Council in New York and the Washington State Arts Commission.
Marilyn is a nationally active colleague in the field. Currently she is teaching for the Foundation Center and joining other conference presenters with the Association of Science Technology Centers and Community Solutions. She recently authored a chapter for the Handbook for Small Science Centers and the Forward for the Foundation Center’s publication, Writing Successful Proposals.
Marilyn is a member of the Board of the Salvadori Center, The Exhibition Alliance and an advisor to the Louis Latimer House museum in New York City. For fun, she is e-consulting on a $400 million campaign for Germany’s only private university and has just completed a chapter on the Estonian National Zoo for the World Encyclopedia of Zoos.
