Preeti Gupta
Senior Vice President of Education and Public Programs
Preeti Gupta is responsible for all programs and projects in the following divisions: Science Career Ladder including the after-school programs and the Explainers who serve as interpretation staff, Professional Development for over 3000 teachers annually, K-12 Student Programs on-site and off-site, Digital Learning Programs, Science Technology Library and Public Programs including sleepovers and early childhood initiatives. Ms. Gupta is a graduate of the Science Career Ladder, starting her career in museum education as a high school student. She holds a B.S. in Bioengineering from Columbia University and an M.A. in Education and Human Development from George Washington University. She is currently pursuing a Ph.D in Urban Education at the CUNY Graduate. Preeti has been published in the magazine Science Scope and in an NSTA publication on Exemplary Science in Informal Science Settings. She won the National Roy L. Shafer Leading Edge Award for Experienced Leadership in the field from the Association for Science Technology Centers and was selected as one of 42 women featured in a photo exhibition entitled The Many Faces of Queens Women, as one who has contributed to the community in unique ways.
