Preschool Place is the ideal space to explore, discover and build! Here our youngest visitors can experience multi-sensory activities in a safe, protected area.

Preschool Place is specially designed to meet the developmental needs of children ages birth to 6 years old.  In order to ensure our youngest learners have a safe and comfortable environment to explore, admission into Preschool Place is limited to children ages 6 and under.

We recommend that you visit with a second adult to accompany any children over the age of 6.  Be sure to ask about exhibits appropriate for children of all ages.

Preschool Place is open during regular visitor hours and closes 15 minutes prior to NYSCI's closing time.
Please note: the back room of Preschool Place is used for school workshops Tuesday through Friday from 9:30 am –
1 pm and is not open to individual family visitors.

Sing-alongs, story times and art activities are featured during weekends and holidays. Free with NYSCI admission.
