Take a break from the NYSCI’s many activities at the Café, where you and your children can enjoy kid-friendly snacks, sandwiches, desserts, fruit and hot and cold beverages.

Dream Street Caterers, the exclusive food service operator for NYSCI, prides itself not only on its menu offerings, but on its courteous and responsive staff. The company has been recommended by many of New York’s top party planners and event coordinators. It also provides cafeteria service at several NYC business locations including NYSCI.

Café Seating

Seating for Café patrons is available indoors and outdoors (weather permitting) on the Café’s patio.

Picnics and Food Brought From Home

The Café’s dining area is reserved for visitors purchasing food from the Café or the adjacent vending area. Food brought from home is not permitted in the Café, except for groups with lunchroom reservations.

Picnicking visitors are requested to use nearby Flushing Meadows Corona Park benches. NYSCI staff will be pleased to direct you to these outdoor locations.

Food deliveries are not permitted.

Group Visits

NYSCI’s Reservation Office will help you create the perfect visit for your social, professional, church, reunion or school group. Groups of ten or more must make arrangements for cafe seating prior to visiting the museum. Call 718-699-0301 or email jburns@nyscience.org for information.

Special Events and Facility Rentals

NYSCI offers a variety of event spaces, meeting places and amenities that will leave a lasting impression on your guests. Begin with a cocktail hour in our north wing, exclusively reserved for your guests. For a sit-down reception, choose between a variety of spaces that seat 50 to 400. Birthday Parties
